hey guys...
i'm new in mtb,and planning to buy a umf freddy 2...any review???
and i saw on the forum, saying that the rear wheel horizontal dropout is a failure design which may cause the rear wheel to slide off after some hard jump...

Hey Jeff,

Freddy 2 is great ride to get for freeriding. Suitable for jumps and drop. Biggest drop done by a TPR, was about 7 feet drop to nearly flat landing (Race pic in previous post).

We did encounter the issue of the sliding wheel, but it was only just after we bought the bike, once you setup the rear wheel properly it should be okay. We had Freedy 2 for nearly a year, and we do a lot of big jumps and drop with it, so far the rear wheel issue did not turn up again.

Freedy 2, is an amazing bike to get for its price, u can paddle all the way to the top and it can take all the bumps, jumps and drops that u find all the way down.

Hope that help.KEEP ON ROLLING...

Two riders are riding small size and one rider is riding a bigger size, 17 I think. All three bike feels the same.

All three bikes are 2008/2009 version, price were about 2.8k. Our local dealer is not bringing in this version any more.

Check out Scott Voltage FR, estimated around the same price
